Lima Peru was one of those places that got my attention for no apparent reason, I just knew that I wanted to go check the place out and see what was there, maybe it just sounded very South American to me.  The trip down there was actually a "Plan B" just in case a Brazil expedition fell through, but I was glad I made the journey once there.  For staters the U.S. Dollar is still very strong in Peru so the 3 to 1 exchange rate made life pretty easy in Lima.  Even though it was their winter, the weather wasn't too bad at all, the sun did come out during the day and the temps were mild to warm.  No Travel Visa for U.S. citizens also made it an easy choice and since there was a Hooters restaurant in the city of Lima, I knew the place couldn't be too bad.  This trip had no well thought out plans, I arrived not knowing where I was going to stay and how to get there. Once settled in at The Hotel Nirvana in the Miraflores district I was ready to see what the city had to offer.  Downtown Lima is very vibrant with the Presidential Palace, their Central Bank, and Principal Church in the middle of everything.  As par for the course I found another mountain in this South American city with a religous monument on top, and getting to the top was no was easy task, our Driver's car overheated on the way up and later exploded once at the top!  If you are looking for a party make your way to the Pizza Alley area which is loaded with bars, restaurants, and clubs of all types.  Be sure to check out the Lima galleries and since I took so many shots of the Hooter Girls, those pics will be posted in the Nsane Hooters section. My boy Jack Armstrong was with me so be sure to read his blogs over on his travel page.
