What can I say about Brazil that hasn't been already said? The first time I went to Rio de Janeiro was in May 2002 and it was a dream come true. I had been wanting to visit this famous Brazillian city since I was a horny teenager in Junior High School checking out pictures some Photographer had taken on Copacabana Beach. What I remember most besides the pretty women that seemed to be everywhere, was the beautiful beach and mountains rising up out of the water to provide an exotic backdrop.
I knew one day I wanted to stand on that mountain with the statue of Jesus so I could see that view for myself. This was actually my first stop in South America and even though I was tired from flying all night to get there, I was taking it all in on the ride from the airport to Copacabana. Even the grittyness of the Flavellas (Ghettos) seemed to have an exotic flavor and of course my first sight of the beaches there were heavenly. I have since been there six more times and am looking forward to another trip down there soon. I literally had thousands of pictures to choose from for my galleries here so it was tough to select some to post here. I decided to stick with the pictures shot digitally so that eased the process a little. I have since visited other countries in South and Central America but of course Brazil will be always be my precious love when it comes to travels south of the United States.
